Writers Series at ASU brings big names PDF Print
Wednesday, 08 August 2007 20:00
The fall 2007 Hughlene Bostian Frank Visiting Writers Series is bringing some big literary names to the lectern at Appalachian State University.  The series will include readings from reporter Paul Cuadros, novelist Nino Ricci, poet and novelist Robert Morgan, performance poet Doris Davenport and poet and essayist Sydney Lea. The University is particularly excited to host Cuadros, author of the book A Home on the Field: How one Championship Team Inspires Hope for the Revival of Small Town America. His book was chosen as ASU’s summer reading selection for incoming freshmen. Cuadros is also set to deliver the address at Convocation, which will be held September 6 at 10 a.m. in the Holmes Convocation Center.
