North Carolina: a hot zone PDF Print
Sunday, 05 August 2007 20:00
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to climb this week- with little chance of a cool down.  While the High Country should sweat less than the foothills, meteorologists say this week will be the hottest of the summer. Heat’s not the only thing plaguing North Carolina air this week. An air quality action day has been issued for the Piedmont Triad, and the Forsyth County environmental affairs department has issued a Code Orange air quality action day for the region. The code means ground level ozone concentrations within the region could exceed unhealthy standards.
