Suspects waive extradition PDF Print
Tuesday, 31 July 2007 08:46

According to Avery County Sheriff Kevin Frye, both double homicide suspects have waived their rights to an extradition hearing.

Frye expects Ohio authorities to arrive sometime within the next ten days to transport 18-year-old Tabitha Messina and 19-year-old Carlos Christopher back to South Euclid. The two were discovered in Avery County yesterday in the parking lot of the Parkview Motel. They are accused of the Sunday murders of Messina’s father, Richard Messina, and girlfriend, Sandra Cover. The two were found beaten to death in their South Euclid home, which is just outside Cleveland. Their capture marks the third murder suspect apprehended in Avery County in the past month. In a written statement to the press, Frye said he was glad to help get alleged murderers off the streets, but that he wishes “they would quit coming here.”
