Extradition Hearing not scheduled PDF Print
Tuesday, 31 July 2007 05:33

Sources within the Avery County Sheriff’s Office still do not know when to expect an extradition hearing for double murder suspects Tabitha Messina and Carlos Christopher.

The pair are suspecting of killing Messina’s father, Richard, and his girlfriend, Sandra Cover in South Euclid Ohio. Both suspects are expected to be extradited to Ohio.

According to the Clerk of Court’s office, the earliest such a hearing could take place is Thursday. The District Attorney’s office has yet to schedule the hearing because they have yet to receive the paperwork.

The two were found sleeping by first responders who responded to a call about two people unresponsive in a vehicle near the Parkview Motel in Linville Falls. A license plate check identified the pair as murder suspects. Newland Police and Avery County deputies made the arrests yesterday.
