The North Carolina Recreation and Park Association is proud to name Tommy Burleson as the 2016 Special Citation Award Winner.

With winter approaching, Watauga County Schools Superintendent Dr. Scott Elliott is reminding parents and families how the school system makes and communicates decisions about school closings and other changes resulting from inclement weather. 

The second annual Hunger and Health Coalition’s Halloween Masquerade Ball takes place Friday evening at 6pm at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts at ASU.

A local fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha, AKA “Pike,” are partnering with the Boone Police Department once again to help the less fortunate in our area.

The 16th annual Downtown Boone BOO! a family-friendly Halloween event will take place on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
