Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont  (GSCP2P) announced the Girl Scout wide celebration of the 100th season of Girl Scouts selling cookies.

      On Wednesday January 25 between 11am and 2pm everyone is welcome to F.A.R.M (Feed All Regardless of Means) Café at 617 West King Street for another ‘Buy Boone Lunch’ day.

In no small way, today’s culture is dominated by screens. From a young age children are exposed a wide range of devices, from tablets to televisions; and while with that territory comes with its own merits, a group of parents and teachers at Cove Creek School are on a mission to ensure students are also exposed to nature as part of their education. The group has come together to form an environmental science club at the school called the EcoRaiders.

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Watauga Campus Culinary Arts program will begin offering “Carry Out Cuisine” events this spring to the general public.
