The F.A.R.M. Cafe Board of Directors is very pleased report that $11,500 has been invested with the Watauga Community Foundation. These funds were raised through individual donors who matched $5,000 that was raised at the 2015 Real. Good. Party! which took place in April 2015.

Watauga High School will host the regional competition of the North Carolina Theatre Conference (NCTC) High School Play Festival on November 6 - 7, and you’re invited to help.

BOONE, NC – October 19, 2015: Welcome Home Thriftique will be holding an anniversary and customer appreciation event in celebration of one year of upscale finds, friendly service and job skills training to the Boone community. The event will be held Thursday October 22nd from 4pm to 6pm.

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Cosmetology Department hosted its second annual “Students for a Cure Event” on Monday, Oct. 12 on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson.

The bright colors of fall foliage here in the High Country signal an end to a favorite time of the year for many folks, yet Joe Shannon’s Mountain Home Music is offering everyone a chance to extend their fall festivities by brightening their season with a lively night of colorful traditional and contemporary bluegrass music this Saturday, October 24th. The concert features two local groups, The John Cockman Family and Amantha Mill and will be staged at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Boone. The doors open 7:00, with the show beginning at 7:30pm.
