On to Iowa; Parkway Team Wins State OM

Parkway's 8th grade team took first place at the State Finals of Odyssey of the Mind last weekend, sweeping all three components (long-term, style and spontaneous) of the competition.  The team is the first ever from the Watauga County Schools to make it to the World Finals for Odyssey of the Mind Full Story

 
High Country Bike Plan Survey

High Country Council of Governments is developing a bike plan for Yancey, Mitchell, Avery, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, and Wilkes Counties.  The Plan is intended to improve safety, access, and mobility for cyclists by developing a network of designated routes that connect municipalities and other major destinations in the region.
