2nd ANNUAL CHANGE OF LEAVES FESTIVAL
A Fun Afternoon for the Whole Family at Crown Point!
Bring the whole family to Crown Point in West Jefferson, NC for a great afternoon of food, fun and friends designed to benefit the local Ashe County chapter of Habitat for Humanity and the Fleetwood Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. The event will be held on Saturday, October 10 from 12 noon to 4 PM, rain or shine.
You’ll be able to enjoy Smokey Mountain BBQ, desserts, raffles, hay rides, live music, face painting, nature hiking, s’mores at the campfire, balloons, and games including ball rolls, golf-cart races, a putting contest, and more! In addition, you’ll be able to see many vintage and late-model Porche and BMW vehicles, as well as tour through three spectacular custom-built homes with breathtaking panoramic vistas of the autumn foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Tickets are $8 per person in advance and $10 per person at the gate (cash only). Kids under 10 are free, which includes their lunch and dessert. Tickets are available for purchase until October 9 in West Jefferson at Regency Properties (204 E. Main St., 336-246-2307), Active Realty (1 N. Jefferson Ave., 336-246-5555), and at the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center (1 N. Jefferson Ave., 336-846-9500).
To get to the Crown Point location from West Jefferson, take Hwy. 221 to Hwy. 194 West. Take an immediate right onto Baldwin and go .25 miles. Turn left onto Black Bear Inn Road. After 1 mile, turn left onto Big Tree Road. Then go 2 miles to the top to the Crown Point gate on the left.
