F.A.R.M. Cafe is participating in the Feinstein $1 Million Challenge between now and April 30. Make a donation (cash, check, pledge or food item) to F.A.R.M. Cafe before the end of the month and the Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island will also make a contribution to Boone’s pay-what-you-can community cafe.
This is the 15th consecutive year that philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger-fighting agencies across the United States who participate in the challenge. Each participating agency receives a percentage of the $1 million based on the amount it raises on its own
Feinstein’s past annual challenges to fight hunger have raised more than $1.25 billion for over 2,000 agencies and houses of worship nationwide helping the needy.
Contributions may be brought to F.A.R.M. Cafe at 617 W. King St. weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or sent to P.O. Box 487, Boone, NC 28607. For more information about the challenge, call the cafe at 828-386-1000 or visit the Feinstein Foundation website at www.feinsteinfoundation.org/index.htm
