The da Capo Brass, national touring and recording ensemble based in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina, will present a free concert in the High Country on Sunday, November 27.  The brass quintet will deliver a variety of exciting tunes ranging in style from classical to jazz and Renaissance to gospel, including new music premieres

written exclusively for the ensemble.  For one of the members of da Capo Brass, this concert will be a homecoming.
Mary Pritchett Boudreault, Watauga County native, plays the French horn in the da Capo Brass.  Boudreault attended Cove Creek Elementary and Watauga High School, and has gone on to receive multiple degrees in music education and performance.  She is the principal hornist of the Raleigh Symphony and holds the position of assistant principal horn in the Salisbury Symphony.  She is on the faculty at High Point University.
Mary will be joined by the other five members of the da Capo Brass, trumpeters Luke Boudreault and Steve Sutton, trombonist Paul Pietrowski, tuba player Brent Harvey, and percussionist Devin Reid.  The members of da Capo Brass have performed as soloists and in conjunction with professional organizations across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.  da Capo is committed to presenting diverse and exciting programs of brass repertoire, often collaborating with composers to create new music for the brass quintet medium.  Their debut album, “from the beginning,” will be officially released worldwide by Delos Productions, Inc. in January.  The group will have pre-release copies available for sale exclusively for the Valle Crucis performance.
da Capo Brass will be performing at Valle Crucis United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 27 at 3:00pm.
