Grandfather Mountain State Park Seeking Volunteers to Work PDF Print

Volunteers are invited to join park rangers on trail work projects in Grandfather Mountain State Park.   We will meet at the Boone Fork Parking Area at 9am.  Boone Fork Parking Area is on the Blue Ridge Parkway just north of mile marker 300. Volunteers are asked to bring work gloves if they have them, wear sturdy work or hiking boots, layered clothing including a rain jacket, water and snacks.  We will return to vehicles at 3PM.  We will be performing moderate to heavy trail work projects with a minimum of 1.5 miles of hiking involved.  PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Call the park office at 828.963.9522 or email Ranger Sicard at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
