Author Birgitta McGalliard joins us at Watauga County Public Library to discuss her father's time spent in Lefortovo Prison in Moscow and a slave labor camp in Vorkuta, Siberia as a political Prisoner of War during World War II, and her experiences growing up without knowing the truth about her father.

The Watauga County Arts Council will hold its 2nd Annual Spring Into Summer ArtsFest on June 6, 2015 from 10AM to 4PM, at the Blue Ridge ArtSpace located at 377 Shadowline Drive in Boone. There will be a variety of artists and arts organizations showing their work, including members of the Potters of the Blue Ridge and several fiber artists from the area. Artists who are interested in having a booth should check the Arts Council’s website at www.watauga-arts.org for an application form or come by the Blue Ridge ArtSpace before May 23, 2015.

Camp UREC is made possible by University Recreation, a Division of Student Development. Camp runs Monday - Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm with drop off starting at 7:45am and pick up ending at 5:30pm.
